ARCHITECT & PRODUCTION MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST
My Role
During my tenure with Sharjah Architecture Triennial (SAT), I have played a critical role in managing the production and preparation of exhibition spaces for its second edition. This landmark event, set across Sharjah’s iconic venues, requires meticulous coordination to accommodate diverse architectural and artistic installations, reflecting the Triennial’s commitment to multidisciplinary engagement and regional discourse.As an Architect and Production Coordinator, I have overseen the detailed planning and execution of venue setups, installations, and logistics, ensuring adherence to safety regulations and aesthetic standards. Collaborating closely with SAT’s architects, exhibition designers, contractors, and wayfinding designers, I have managed comprehensive production plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation, to guarantee seamless event delivery.
In addition to these responsibilities, I work directly with stakeholders, technical teams, and artists to ensure that every exhibition space meets the unique specifications required for the showcased works. This includes supervising the shipment, storage, and installation of materials while maintaining rigorous documentation and reporting for transparency and operational efficiency.
Through this role, I have honed my skills in project management, problem-solving, and stakeholder communication, handling multifaceted challenges while upholding the Triennial's standards of excellence. My experience in coordinating large-scale, multi-venue events has equipped me to adapt swiftly to dynamic circumstances, fostering collaboration and innovation in bringing SAT’s ambitious projects to life.
Project Goal
The Sharjah Architecture Triennial explores architectural responses to scarcity in the global South, contrasting them with the global North’s approach. It aims to promote sustainability and equity through exhibitions, discussions, and advocacy for systemic change.The Sharjah Architecture Triennial focuses on design and technological innovations in the global South, emphasizing solutions emerging from scarcity. It contrasts these with historical resource exploitation by the global North. The exhibition addresses contemporary challenges and advocates for sustainable and equitable futures. Held in Sharjah, it celebrates indigenous architectural traditions and local interventions. Featuring three strands, the Triennial promotes dialogue among diverse practitioners and artists, encouraging sustainability through no-waste practices and advocating for systemic change.
